Situated at 78 Bradshawgate, Bolton, BL1 1QQ, is our rather fabulous Charity Shop and drop in centre.
With huge thanks to John Muller and the other Landlords and our Patron Tony Grimshaw for helping us realise the dream of having a town centre base.
Come along for a brew and a browse and help to raise much needed funds for us whilst bagging yourself a bargain. We have clothes, shoes, toys, CDs, DVDs, handmade jewellery and fused glass, object d'art and all manner of bric-a-brac goodies.
The shop is run totally by our team of dedicated volunteers including a team of superstars Sue Turner, Leighsa Smith, Lucas Hollins, Zac, Simon Roberts and Karen Pye with back up from our young volunteers KB and NB.
It is our aim to be able to be a fully accessible setting by the end of summer 2015 thanks to a grant from Awards for All which will allow us to install a disabled changing facility and door wide enough to allow a wheelchair to pass through easily.
In partnership with Rumworth School we are also going to be able to offer practical work placements to disabled young people who are looking to gain life and employment skills experience in a supportive, positive setting.
Very soon we will also move our office base to the rooms above the shop and are really looking forward to working with the other groups who will be coming along with us.
The shop will also be used for meetings and gatherings as well as corridor and consultation events to enable families to come along and have their say on issues that directly affect their families.
Please do pop in and say hello.
